developing guidelines

Based on experiences collected during the development of the preceding programs of microGlas 6 the following points of acknowlegment were most relevant:
· Each company is unique althrought there are others producing the same products.
· Each single user within a company has got individual tasks which makes a differentiated view onto the data bank necessary, e.g. the view onto the article data is strongly influenced by the fact whether a employee has to deal with the sales, the buying, the production or the organization of the stock.
· The organization of a company is continually changing so that the software itself has to be able to be changed and adapted according to such changes as well.

Each of the above mentioned aspects makes a numerous amount of individual adaptions necessary (so-called customizing). Almost every standard software nowadays offers such possibilities for such adaptions. microGlas 6 allows this to happen in an unusual, hardly known flexibility and speed. Furthermore, we make it possible to the user to be able to handle these adaptions independently after our schooling of 3 to 5 days.

Next to the demands for quicker and mor comfortable adaptions the following aspects were most relevant as well:
· A uniform programming language for all areas including graphical user interface (GUI) as well as the possibilities of presenting / processing geometrically variable objects (microCAD).
· Complete integration of data bank technique in all areas of application and the program libraries
· So-called client server structure in heterogenous hardware-/processing system environments as well as for intranet and internet applications.
