The engeneering office Ernst-Ulrich Otten for applied informatics was founded in September 1999.
For many years the owner of the office used to be co-founder and manager of H&O Industrie Computer GmbH, which was taken over by the VEGLA Vereinigte Glaswerke GmbH (Aachen), but does not exist anymore.
With its founding the engeneering office has taken over the rights for microGlas-5 which can be seen as the result of the work habing been done within more than 20 years in the area of the production of insulating glass (sealed units) and finishing of glass at H&O.
After the adjustment in 2000 microGlas-6 was developed in functioned within the commerdial sector at the fair glasstec2000 and was applied by one user. The name OaI standing for Otten applied informatics was created for the fair as well as the logo. In the time from teh fair 2000 until mid 2001 the core of the technical processing was created. An essential aspect was the application of registering the company's data (BDE). At the End of 2001 several microGlas-6 applications ware in use including more complex pofucing organizations.
In 2002 the entire organisation was enlarged into all prtial areas whereby emphasis was laid on the planning of production and planning of tours as well as BDE. We are able to offer you a entire settlement system for the working with glass of the fair glasstec2002 whose range derives from this presentation.
Under the category News we chronologically listed the most important new developments since the beginning of microGlas-6.
Since the beginning in 2000 the engeneering office consists of three employees:

· The founder Ernst-Ulrich Otten, who deals with the actual development of microGlas-6 in addition to all aspects of managing the office.

· Nicole Cremer, who is assistent manager in dealing with the processing of orders and is in charge of the schooling of customers, hotline, adjustment of application including the design od forms.

· Hartwig Otten, who mainly works with the operating system (mainly UNIX), the hardware, the infra-structure (networks etc.) as well as the minimizing of clippings and the registering the company's data (BDE).

· Since mid 2002 Christian Otten has been working at the engeneering office as a trainee and mainly works with the documentation including this webside.

· As the inner processing has become more complex within time, Helga Cremer has started working in this area since July 2002.

In October 2001 we moved our office to central Gemünd which is easy to reach and where everyone of us has got more space to work.
