processing

With the term processing we refer to all kinds of special treatments of articles made of glass other than rectangular cutting and the assembling of insulating glass (sealed units). Within the frame of administering possible treatments, a main set of data as well as certain kinds of sub data are administered, too:

· if need be, custom made prices and conditions of buying specified according to supplier

· if need be, descriptions in foreign languages

A processing, like an articles in clearly identified through a ten digit alphanumerical code. The kinds of processing (earlier called "special kinds of processing") are standardized as follows:

· B = drilling

· D = pressure compensation valve

· E = treatment/finishing of edges and brims

· G = gas fillings

· H = toughening of glass

· K = protection of edges

· M = shape cutting

· O = treatment/finishing of surface

· P = fields of lead

· Q = treatment/finishing of edges (grinding / facetting)

· S = integration of georgians

· T = (door-) ornamental bars

· U = bulge panes

Adding such a kind of processing to a position (i.e. of its article), all added measurements (e.g. altering the size of cutting) are made automatically.

The different types of processing partly need various and specific details.
Special models are assigned to the templates of the microCAD through a model catalogue number.

An assigning to a model-class (e.g. rectangular, even edges only, arches) is often useful for the calculation of prices within the frame of processing of glass (cuttings etc.).

Dealing with other kinds of processing, certain classes of processing and cubus classes can be assigned to, if this should make sense for the calculation of prices.
