The planning of the tours creates the planned tours in advance which is planned according to the days of the week in various directions or to certain customers.

After orders have been registrated according to dates, they are assigned to the tours along with presenting its capacity being fully used. The assigning of a truck to a tour can be given in advance according to the standards, but can also be changed slightly if need be. After having finished working on a tour (orders might not be terminated yet) a tour plan is printed out, which contains all orders to be consigned. This tour plan can be sorted according to customers or unloading areas and is an important device for loading the trucks.

Next to the orders to be delivered, racks which have be returned or buying positions having to be transported can also be integrated into the tour plan resulting into a "complete tour plan".

In a further working phase the department consignment/tours works tightly together with the registration of a company data (BDE). The products (insulating glass) which are then put on a consignment rack are registrated and stored in the grids of the data bank of the company's means. As a result so-called "consignment rack-contents lists" ca be printed out. There the completeness of an order can be checked and in a case of incorrect amounts or part deliveries can be generated.

Once this process is registrated during the loading of a truck via BDE reading, the amount of the planned orders (or the trucks having been assigned) on such a tour can finally be checked in comparison to the pieces standing on the racks. Finally, the whereabouts of the racks can also be monitored.
